In pasture, located on a low rise in gently undulating terrain. Raised circular area (diam. 28.5) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 2.8m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 1.5m, at N). There are remnants of stone facing on the inner face of the bank at NE and possibly on the outer face at NNW. At S–W a shallow fosse (Wth c. 3m; ext. D 0.6m) is evident with ephemeral traces of a levelled external bank (Wth c. 4m) at W. The entrance may have been at E where there is a low section of bank, now blocked by stone facing. An oval or subrectangular house (SL011-062003-) is located off-centre to S within the level interior. A low bank (Wth 1.4m; H 0.2m) extends from the W side of the house to the rath bank at SW, and traces of another bank extend from the E side of the house towards the rath bank at E. According to local information (SMR file), there is a souterrain (SL011-062002-) in the rath. There is a small area of quarrying or disturbance immediately to NW of the rath.
