What is recorded here

Straddling narrow level summit of ESE-WNW orientated ridge, in pasture. Natural ground level slopes down steeply to the N and S of the site. Slightly raised roughly rectangular area (dims. 17m NNE-WSW; 20m WNW-ESE) enclosed by a low broad bank of earth (Wth 3.7m; int. H 0.3m). At the external foot of the bank is a fosse (Wth 2.8m; D 0.9m). From NW-NE the bank is absent and the site is defined by a scarp (ext. H 1.8m). The bank is also absent NE-SE where a NNE-WSW orientated field bank, with a drain on the E side, defines the edge of the monument. The fosse encloses the site SW-NE only, across the level summit of the ridge, and is absent elsewhere. The original entrance is not recognisable. Compiled by: Patrick F. O'Donovan Date of upload: 21 April 2011
