Listed in the SMR (1989) and RMP (1995) and classified 'Cairn Possible' in both. Not indicated on the 1837 edition of the OS 6-inch map. This is one of a series of eight cairns (SL006-043----; SL006-044----; SL006-047----; SL006-048----; SL006-049----; SL006-050----; SL006-051----; SL006-063----) which mark the boundary between counties Sligo and Leitrim in inhospitable mountainous terrain. Located on the summit of a ridge running N from Truskmore Mountain. This is a small modern-looking pile of stones (diam. 1.5m, H 0.5m). This is the same boundary cairn as LE003-012----.
