In pasture, located on a small rounded peak on a narrow NW−SE ridge. There are extensive views encompassing a broad sweep of the surrounding undulating grassland, Donegal Bay and Slieve League to NW, and the corrugated slope of Ben Bulben which dominates landscape to SE. The deep gully of the Grange River cuts through a small valley c. 150m to S. A rectangular-shaped stone slab (L 0.55m NNW−SSE; T 0.16m at base; 0.2m at top; H 1m) set upright in the ground, with long axis aligned roughly N-S. The cross-section is rectangular. The stone expands in thickness at top, and the top of the stone slopes up slightly to S. A natural vertical crack (L 0.3m), which extends through the full thickness of the stone, extends down for c. 0.3m from the top of the stone midway along the broad sides. A second standing stone (SL005-181----), which shares the same alignment, is within sight on another small peak 31m to NW on the same ridge.
