In gently undulating terrain. Not marked on the 1837 edition of the OS 6-inch map. Recorded in 1991 as a circular structure (dims. 3m x 2.8m) built of mortared stone (SMR (1989) file). It was built into the slope of a naturally-occurring rise(H at bottom of slope 2m; H at top of slope 0.7m) there was a circular opening (diam. 1.5m) on top and an opening (Wth. 0.7m; H 0.9m) in the N face which gave access to the central opening (SMR (1989) file). The site is now located at NNW edge of a c.10 year old coniferous plantation and is inaccessible.
