What is recorded here

Situated on a moderate N-facing slope upland pasture. Circular area (diam. 21m) defined by a bank (Wth 4.6m; int. H 1.3m; ext. H 1.1m). No fosse now visible. The site is bisected by a NE-SW orientated relic drystone wall. The inner side of the bank has been rebuilt to form a vertical face ENE-W. Two roughly rectangular sheep pens (dims. c.2m by 4m) have been built in the angle between the re-modelled inner face of the cashel bank and the NW side of the field wall. A relic field wall abuts the external side of the cashel bank at W and W-N. Original entrance not recognisable. Compiled by: Patrick F. O'Donovan Date of upload: 21 April 2011
