Located immediately to N of Staad Abbey church (SL005-022001-). Excavation (00E0235) in 2001 revealed remnants of paving and two ash spreads or simple hearths, which were interpreted as the remains of an early medieval house floor. It overlay a deep layer of natural sand, and was overlain by layers of midden material (SL005-022004-) (Dunne, McCormick, and O’Sullivan 2001, 1).
