What is recorded here

Situated on level summit of broad E-W orientated ridge. Views are good to excellent in all directions. Raised circular area (diam. 38m) enclosed by the footings of a drystone wall (Wth 2.9m; int. H 0.25m). There is no fosse visible at ground level. From ENE-S the site is enclosed by a low bank of rubble limestone and elsewhere by a scarp. The internal and external basal blocks (av. dims. L 1m; Wth 0.8m; T 0.4m; spaced 1.5m apart) of the wall survive S-SW with the external basal blocks surviving ENE-SE and NE-N. The original entrance is not recognisable. A NNE-SSW orientated drystone field wall extends along the base of the scarped edge SW-NW, turns ESE extending 8m into the interior from the cashel wall at NW, turns at a right angle to cross the cashel wall again at NNE.
