A cashel (SL003-028001-) was identified here in 1942 by an OPW fieldworker. A souterrain was recorded within its interior. According to the report the souterrain, although closed up, was still intact. (SMR file) The monument has since been levelled and there are no remains of either cashel or souterrain now visible.
