What is recorded here

Situated on level summit of low broad WSW-ENE ridge in gently undulating pasture. The walls of the cashel have been removed. Slightly raised roughly circular area (dims. 16m N-S; 15m E-W) enclosed by an earth and stone scarp (Wth 0.4m; H 0.6m). There is no fosse visible at ground level. The scarp encloses the site WNW-WSW. From WSW-WNW, the scarp has been removed by a small quarry cut into a natural W-facing slope that lies immediately W of the site. The original entrance is not recognisable. A NNE-SSW orientated relic field bank abuts the scarped edge at SW and at NW. Compiled by: Patrick F. O'Donovan Date of upload: 21 April 2011

This remains an important historical record, but the official description says the monument is no longer visible or has been destroyed.
