What is recorded here

On level ground in gently undulating pasture. Depicted on the 1837 edition of the OS 6'' map as a circular enclosure (diam. c.15m). The cashel has been removed and the area now appears as a roughly rectangular field (30m NE-SW; 25m NW-SE). Some larger rubble stones, presumably derived from the cashel walls, are incorporated into the NW boundary of the field. Compiled by: Patrick F. O'Donovan Date of upload: 21 April 2011

This remains an important historical record, but the official description says the monument is no longer visible or has been destroyed.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
