The SMR file records that this was reported (pers. comm.) by M.A. Timoney on 19 July 1989 as 'two lots of stones in deep depressions in the sandhills'. The photocopy of the report on file refers to two distinct sites. The only locational information supplied is a sketch plan marking their position relative to phone line poles (site 1) and ESB poles (site 2). Site 1 is described as an 'area 14m x 14m with a scatter of stones up to 30cm across' and Site 2 is described as a 'row of stone up to 60cm. Row is 26m long. Spread goes back 14m'.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
