What is recorded here

Located adjacent to Templemolaise church (SL001-001009-). This rough stone basin lies immediately outside the doorway, on the north side, at the west gable of the church. It is buried deeply within the turf, but its surface may be seen and indicates a large, rounded stone block (0.5 m wide) with a smooth, regular hemispherical hollow at the centre (Diam. 0.25 m). The above description is derived from the results of a survey of the archaeological monuments on Inishmurray undertaken in 1997-1999 and published in: Jerry O’Sullivan and Tomás Ó Carragáin 2008 Inishmurrary. Monks and pilgrims in an Atlantic landscape. Volume 1: Archaeological Survey and Excavations 1997-2000. Cork. The Collins Press. Date of upload: 16 January 2018
