What is recorded here

An isolated piece of worked alder (L 0.48m; diam. 0.04m) exposed in a drain face. All extraneous branches are trimmed off and one end of it has been sawn but the bark is intact. The piece is orientated NW-SE and may be the result of modern clearance. Compiled by: Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit, UCD. Date of upload: 24 August 2010

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
