On the N-facing crest of a broad NW-SE esker. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 63.6m N-S; 61m E-W) sloping down to the E and N, defined by a grass-covered earthen bank (Wth 5.3-6.7m; int. H 0.2-0.4m; ext. H 0.6m at S to 1.4m at N), which is reduced to a scarp (H 1-1.5m) N-SE. The fosse (Wth of top 6m; Wth of base 2.7m; D 0.3m) survives only at NNW (L c. 10m). There is a modernised entrance (Wth 4.3m) at SE.
