What is recorded here

This site (L c. 0.7m; Wth 0.7m; D 0.24m) is orientated NNE-SSW and consists of dispersed brushwood (av. diam. 0.025m), occasional small roundwoods (av. diam. 0.06m) and bundles of twigs (av. diam. 0.003m). Most elements are laid longitudinally, although several transverses are also present. Birch and oak were the species identified. Two chisel points were recorded. The wood is in good condition with bark surviving intact. This may be a continuation of togher (RO055-013----) c. 15m to the S. Compiled by: Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit, UCD.
