Marked only on the OS 25-inch map as a circular feature (diam. c. 25m) described in gothic lettering as a 'Fort', and situated on a gentle S-facing slope. This is a subcircular grass-covered area (dims 30.5m WNW-ESE; 25m NNE-SSW) defined by a slight earthen bank (Wth 2.5-3.6m; H 0.1-0.3m) WNW-N-ESE, which is more substantial (Wth 3-4.3m; int. H 0.2- 0.3m; ext. H 0.7-1.7m) and better preserved ESE-S-WNW. There is no visbile fosse, but the entrance (Wth 3m) is at SSE.
