What is recorded here

On the crest of a NW-SE ridge. Circular grass-covered area with some bushes (diam. 33.2m N-S; 30.4m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 2.6-4.5m; int. H 0.2-0.8m; ext. H 0.3-0.8m), with traces of external facing-stones at S but with no evidence of an outer fosse. The entrance (Wth 2m) is at ESE. There are local reports that it was a Children's Burial Ground (RO054-002002-), but no grave-markers are visible. The perimeter is damaged by a quarry (dims c. 8m x 6m; D 2m) at NW. Souterrain (RO054-001----) is c. 140m to the NW. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
