A building, and two other structures, is marked on the Strafford map of c. 1636 in an un-named area of church land E of Knock (Simington 1949, Athlone) and on the Strafford/OS composite map in NLI. It was not encountered unless it is the settlement (RO051-052001-). (See RO051-091002-; RO051-091003-).
