The castle of Onagh (Caislean Muille Uanach) was built in 1238 as a stronghold against the men of Connacht, and it was burnt by Hugh O'Conor in 1270 (A.C.). This may refer to Dundonnell ringwork castle (RO051-047001-) (Lynne 1985-6, 105; Curley 2011). Otherwise, it was not encountered.
