On the crest of a low N-S ridge in an undulating landscape. Circular grass-covered mound which has been distorted by quarrying (diam. of base c. 5m; H 0.2-0.4m) separated by a berm or fosse (Wth 0.7-1.4m) from an outer earthen bank (Wth 5.9-6.2m; int. H 0.3-0.4m; ext. H 0.6-0.7m). The monument slopes down to the SW (max. ext. diam.18.7m NNE-SSW) and a trig. station is built on the outer bank at NE.
