Visible on aerial photographs (GSIAP: M 229-30), and situated on a shelf on a S-facing slope in a karst landscape. An area of about 12 acres (c. 5 ha) contains fragments of relict field walls composed of collapsed limestone walls overlain by the earth and stone enclosure or rath (RO050-039001-). The fields are irregularly-shaped, variable in size and many have evidence of lazy-bed cultivation.
