What is recorded here

A limestone head carved in the round representing a helmeted knight and dating probably from the 14th century was found c. 1949 in outhouses at Hodson's Bay (NMI file). It is now in Athlone Museum (WM029-042085-). Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.

The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
