On a rise in an undulating landscape of reclaimed karst. A low rectangular mound (dims 6m N-S; 4m E-W; H 0.3m) with large stones (dims c. 0.8m x c. 0.6m x c. 0.4m) N of the centre of cashel (RO048-097005-) and a rectangular area (dims 10m N-S; 4m E-W) strewn with smaller stones SW of the centre is known locally as a children's burial ground.
