In an undulating landscape. An area of about 90 acres (c. 35 ha) in rough grassland contains collapsed stone field walls creating large but irregularly-shaped subrectangular large fields of c. 1-2 ha, some of which are associated with lazy-bed cultivation. A roadway (RO047-019006-) (Wth c. 5m) defined by stone spreads weaves through the fields (L c. 165m) at the N end. The field system contains rath (RO044-087001-) and cashel (RO047-019001-), but probably post-dates these features as a field wall overlies the cashel.
