What is recorded here

On a shelf of a W-facing slope, overlooking a NW-SE valley. Circular grass-covered area (int. diam. 22.7m N-S; 22.6m E-W) defined by the base of a stone wall (Wth 1-1.7m) with intermittently visible facing-stones (dims c. 0.6m x 0.6m; H 0.3m) S-W-NE, and a scarp down to the interior (H 0.3-0.4m) elsewhere. There is no identifiable original entrance, but a relict field bank (RO045-234002-) (Wth c. 3m; H 0.3m), which extends out to the NE and N, is attached to the perimeter at NE. The perimeter is incorporated into an E-W field wall SSE-SSW, and the interior is overlain by a NNW-SSE field wall just W of the centre. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
