What is recorded here

Marked as a circular feature (diam. c. 35m) on the 1837, and as a fragment of a bank NW-NE on the 1915 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. Situated towards the bottom of a gentle E-facing slope. This is a circular grass-covered area (diam. c. 18m NW-SE; c. 15m NE-SW) defined by a slight bank (at NW: Wth 3.4m; int. H 0.15m; ext. H 0.4m) separated by a fosse (at NW: Wth of base 1.5m; D 0.95m) from an outer bank (at NW: Wth 3.2m; ext. H 0.3m), all of which only survive W-N-E where the outer bank is incorporated into a field bank and hedge. Rath (RO045-149----) is c. 140m to the WSW.
