What is recorded here

Marked as a circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 35m) on the 1837 and 1915 eds of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on a rise overlooking the N end of Lough Funshinagh, a large turlough c. 500m to the SE. This is an oval grass-covered area (dims c. 35m NE-SW; c. 25m NW-SE) defined by portion of a grass-covered bank (Wth 3.1m; int. H 0.25m; ext. H 0.9m) SW-W-NE (C 34.5m) and the perimeter may be incorporated into a field bank NE-S-SW. There are quarries in the interior and outside the perimeter at NW.
