In the bed of the turlough Lough Croan (dims c. 3 km NW-SE; c. 200-300m NE-SW) at its centre. Circular grass-covered mound (diam. 26m E-W; 25m N-S; H 1m) with elements of a wooden palisade protruding through the sod at the perimeter E-S-W. Crannog (RO044-089----) is c. 100m to the S.
