On a slight S-facing slope. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 53.3m E-W; 51.8m N-S) defined by a flat-topped earthen bank (Wth of base 3.7-6m; Wth of top 1-1.2m; int. H 0.35-1.25m; ext. H 0.85-2.4m) and hedge, with a rounded fosse (Wth of top 5.5-6m; Wth of base 2.8-3.2m; D 1.2-1.5m) S-N. There is no identifiable original entrance but a rectangular house site (RO044-072002-) (int. dims 8.6m N-S; 8.5m E-W) defined by a wall foundation (Wth 1-1.2m) is at the centre, and a similar house site (RO044-072003-) (int. dims 8m N-S; 6m E-W) defined by a stone spread (Wth 1.2-1.6m) abuts the inner face of the bank at S. There is a tradition of the monument's use as a children's burial ground (RO044-072004-) (Gannon 1972), and it is bisected by a N-S road just E of the centre. Rath (RO044-073----) is c. 180m to the ENE.
