On a slight slope down to N and E in a low-lying landscape. The church (RO044-054002-), enclosure (RO044-054001-) and road (RO044-054004-) are within a D-shaped grass-covered enclosure (dims. c. 150m NW-SE; c. 90-120m NE-SW) defined by an earthen bank (at SE: Wth 3.5m; H 0.2m) separated by a berm (at SE: Wth 1.8m) from a second bank (at SE: Wth 4.2m; int. H 0.35m; ext. H 1.2m), a flat-bottomed fosse (at SE: Wth of base 1.5m; ext. D 0.7m) and a counterscarp bank (at SE: Wth 3m; ext. H 0.1m) surviving NW-E-S (at SE: total Wth 13m).
