On the SW-facing slope of a SE-NW valley in a karst landscape. The church (RO042-142----) may have been built from stones derived from a quarry face (L c. 30m; H 0.5m) which is generally aligned NNW-SSE and is beyond the perimeter of the associated enclosure (RO042-142001-) at SW.
