On a gentle SE-facing slope. Subcircular grass-covered area (dims 39.6m NNW-SSE; 34.7m ENE-WSW) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3.6-4.4m; int. H 0.7-0.95m; ext. H 1.05-2m) and fosse (at ENE: Wth of top 4.4m; Wth of base 1.8m; ext. D 0.3-0.4m). There is no recognisable entrance. Aerial photograph (CUCAP: BDU 72) shows a subcircular enclosure or annexe (RO042-049002-) (diam. 23m N-S) defined by an earthen bank attached to the NW with an entrance (Wth 3m) at NE (Gannon 1972), but this does not survive. Rath (RO042-018001-) is c. 170m to the NW.
