What is recorded here

Marked as an oval wood (dims c. 120m NW-SE; c. 90m NE-SW) on the 1837 and 1928 eds of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on a rise in the floodplain of a NW-SE section of the River Suck which is c. 200m to the NE. Fragments of the perimeter survive as arcs of drystone wall (Wth 0.75m; H 1m) at NW (C 55mand) SE (C c. 95m) where it is incorporated into field boundaries.
