What is recorded here

At the crest of the S-facing slope of a slight E-W ridge, and known locally at one time as Cranny Cealtra. Subrectangular grass and scrub-covered cairn (dims 7m N-S; 5.6m; H 0.3-0.5m) with intermittently visible kerbstones and two whitethorn bushes on the perimeter. It was investigated in 1912 by a local priest looking for treasure when a skeleton was discovered between an inner and outer line of kerbstones (Fannon 1994; Ryan 1997, 224).
