On a gentle NE-facing slope. An irregularly-shaped grass-covered platform (dims 27.6m N-S; 21.5m E-W), the perimeter of which has been entirely quarried, is defined by a scarp (H 1.3-1.8m) and a rounded fosse (Wth of base 3.2-3.6m; ext. D 0.1m at S to 0.65m at W) which is preserved in its original condition only at N (Wth of top 7.3m; Wth of base 1.9m; ext. D 0.4m). There is an entrance ramp and causeway (Wth 2m) at SSE, and the fosse is largely filled in E-S (max. ext. dim. 41.7m N-S). Rath (RO039-012----) is c. 130m to the W.
