What is recorded here

On a gentle SE-facing slope of a NW-SE ridge. Circular grass-covered platform (diam. 30.5m N-S; 30.2m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 5.2m; int. H 0.1m; ext. H 1.5m) NW-NE and a scarp (H 1.1m at E to 1.9m at W) elsewhere, with a rounded fosse (Wth of top 4.8-7.9m; Wth of base 1.4-1.6m; D 0.1-0.35m) NW-E-SSW and an outer bank (Wth 3.7m; H 0.2m) NW-ENE. There is an entrance and causeway (Wth 8m) at SE and a small grass-covered clearance cairn (dims 4m x 2m; H 0.2-0.35m) is just S of the centre. Raths (RO038-021----), (RO038-024----) and (RO038-023----) are c. 170m to the E, 150m to the SE and c. 130m to the SE respectively. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
