Towards the bottom of a N and NW-facing slope. On the N side of the NE-SW Strokestown to Four Mile House road (R368) a relict road connects with the W side of the old road (RO035-104001-) and is visible as two earthen banks placed 5-9m apart extending SW (L c. 330m), which closely follows the line of the present road. At its W end a branch begins to extend S towards rath (RO035-008----) c. 120m distant.
