On the crest of a broad WNW-ESE ridge. Subrectangular grass-covered area (dims 43.4m NE-SW; 42.7m NW-SE; H 0.7-1.4m) with traces of a bank (Wth 3.4m; int. H 0.4m) at S, but the perimeter is severely quarried everywhere else. It is defined now by a flat-bottomed, reed-covered, and widened fosse (Wth of top 13.3-15.1m; Wth of base 6.6-12m; D 0.65-1.4m). There is a slight external bank (Wth 2.5-4m; H 0.15-0.45m) which is probably secondary as it blocks the causeway (Wth 3m) which has a paved surface across the fosse at SE (max. ext. dims 74m NE-SW; 73m NW-SE).
