On the crest of a slight E-W ridge. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 37m E-W; 34m N-S) defined by an earthen bank and hedge (Wth 3.2m at E to 4.7-5.5m generally; int. H 0.3m at E to 0.7-0.8m generally; ext. H 1.7-1.9m) and an outer fosse (Wth of top 6-6.5m; Wth of base 1.8-2.6m; D 0.4-0.6m) NNE-S-NW, but the perimeter is reduced to a scarp (H 1m) and the fosse is missing elsewhere. The entrance (Wth 1.8m) is at SSW, and there are grass-covered quarries outside the bank ESE-SSE. Rath (RO035-017----) is c. 50m to the SSW.
