What is recorded here

On a gentle S-facing slope. Human remains in lintelled graves were discovered during the 1950s at the site of a church (RO034-059001-), locally called Killfinnerty (NMI file). The burials were within a grass-covered rectangular area (dims c. 35m ENE-WSW; c. 18m NNW-SSE) that is still extant. It is defined by earth and stone banks (Wth 2m; H 0.3m) with a raised D-shaped area (dims 10m NW-SE; 4.5m NE-SW; H 0.2m) against the S side of a NW-SE field bank which overlies the interior.
