On a gentle S-facing slope of a large NW-SE ridge. D-shaped grass-covered area (dims 40.2m NW-SE; 34.5m NE-SW) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 4.4-4.7m; int. H 0.3-0.7m; ext. H 1.1-1.6m) and hedge E-S and W-N, and by a scarp (H 0.5m) S-W. The monument is truncated by the NW-SE N60 Castlerea to Roscommon road at NE. There is no identifiable original entrance but there are traces of an outer fosse (Wth of top 7m; Wth of base 3.3; D 0.4m) at NW. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
