On a N-S esker ridge which has been quarried to N, E and S of the site. An arc (C 6m) of bank (Wth 4m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 1.9m) survives at SW with a scarp S-SW of a circular enclosure (diam. c. 30m), the interior of which has been damaged by quarrying or obscured by spoil. A NW-SE field wall overlies the S part of the site.
