In a low-lying position attached to the NE of bell-barrow (RO032-009001-). An oval overgrown mound (dims of base c. 25m ENE-WSW; 19.8m NNW-SSE; H 3m) extends from the inner bank of the barrow at ENE, and may be spoil from the quarries around the barrow, although it has been interpreted as a bailey, and the barrow as a motte (Knox 1911, 307-310; Graham 1988b, 26).
