What is recorded here

Close to the summit of Kiltullagh Hill. Described as a circular mound (diam. c. 5.8m; H c. 0.7m) defined by a fosse (Wth of base c. 1m) and outer earthen bank (Wth c. 2.7m; H c. 0.7m) (Knox 1914a, 45-6, Ring No. 1). This was W of the standing stone (RO032-001001-), and it may very well be in Co. Mayo and probably destroyed by the quarry c. 30m SW of the standing stone. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.

The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
