What is recorded here

On the crest of a low WNW-ESE drumlin ridge. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 40m N-S; 39m E-W) with a few deciduous trees defined by an earthen bank (Wth c. 3m; int. H c. 0.5m) and re-cut fosse (Wth 1.5m; D 1.8m) SSW-N, and by a fosse (Wth of top 4.9m; Wth of base int. D 0.6m; ext. D 0.4m) N-SSE. An E-W farm track is built over the fosse at S. Gannon (1972) records an entrance at E which is no longer visible. Rath (RO029-019----) is 10m to the W, rath (RO029-021----) is c. 80m to the ESE, and raths (RO028-018001-; RO028-018002-) are c. 220m and 210m to the SW respectively.
