Just off the crest of a low E-W ridge, on the S-facing slope. Oval, grass-covered area (dims. 85m NE-SW; 70m NW-SE) defined by a low earthen bank (Wth 4-5.2m; in. H 0.2-0.3m; ext. H 1.7m) and hedge NE-SW which is reduced to a grass and scrub-covered scarp (H 0.7m at N to 1.9m at NW) elsewhere. It is surrounded by a fosse (Wth of top 5.2-6.7m; Wth of base 2.5-2.7m; D 0.4-1.1m), and there is an outer field bank NE-SE. There is a modern entrance (Wth 8m) at SW.
