What is recorded here

Visible on aerial photograph (OSAP: 3/0144), and situated at the crest of a NE-facing slope. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 50m E-W; 48m N-S) defined by an earth and stone bank (Wth 2.25-3m; H 0.2-0.3m). There is no visible fosse or identifiable original entrance, but attached to the perimeter at N is a rectangular enclosure or annexe (RO028-189002-) (int. dims 21m WNW-ESE; 14m NNE-SSW) defined by a stone spread (Wth 2m; H 0.2m). The perimeter SSE-SW forms the N side of roadway (RO028-189003-), and cashel (RO028-190001-) is c. 20m to the SE. Archaeological testing (12E0399) c. 20m SW of the road and c. 30m SW of this rath at the nearest point produced no related material (Crumlish 2012). See excavations.ie (2012:506).
