Situated on a level landscape, c. 400m NE of the E end of Lough Shad. D-shaped grass-covered area (dims 41.6m E-W; 30.5m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 4.6-6.3m; int. H 0.1-0.2m; ext. H 0.4-0.5m) SW-N-NE, and by a N-S field wall at E and an E-W field wall at S. There is no visible fosse or identifiable original entrance, but the SW corner of the graveyard (RO028-181002-) of Aghclare Church (RO028-181001-) truncates the perimeter at NE.
