At the summit of an E-W ridge. Circular grass-covered area (dims. c. 180m NW-SE; c. 160m NE-SW) defined by a broad earthen bank (at E: Wth 6m; int. H 0.7m; ext. H 0.1m; at NE: Wth 6.5m; int. H 0.1m; ext. H 0.2m; at W: Wth c. 9m; H 0.1m), which is quarried at SE but survives best (Wth 9.5m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 0.5m) for a short section (L c. 5m) at SE. There are entrances at E (Wth 15m), and N (Wth 15m). Barrow (RO028-148001-) is inside the perimeter at SE, bowl barrow (RO028-153----) is c. 150m to the S, and rath (RO028-152----) is c. 100m outside the perimeter at SE. (Herity 1983, 129)
